Only several days after the smashing success of our 17th Retreat, requests are already flowing in from couples around the country, and preparations are underway for our upcoming 18th Retreat. Connected calls upon our friends in Israel and around the world to step up and help us give these couples—parents of severely disabled infants—several days to breathe, relax and recharge!
Connected’s Medical Equipment Loan Department is thrilled to announce the arrival of new equipment specifically designed to assist children with disabilities in their rehabilitation. We’ve added specialized walkers and hand support braces to our inventory. While we’ve made significant purchases, demand is high, and our stock is already running low. We are currently working in close contact with our suppliers to secure more equipment as soon as possible.
In a complex operation that required the collaboration of nearly ten volunteers, our team successfully transported an expensive, life-saving medication to a young cancer patient in Los Angeles. The medicine’s journey began in Germany, was transferred through Israel, and finally reached its destination in the US. Our International Department extends its deepest gratitude to the dedicated volunteers whose special partnership made this life-saving mission possible.
The current security situation in Israel had caused the demand for portable oxygen concentrators to soar. We are appealing to the public to contribute generously so we can purchase more devices for the benefit of patients.
Connected Online has mobilized the association’s volunteers worldwide, and many are working around the clock to assist Israelis who are stranded abroad and unable to return home.
Right before the outbreak of war with Iran, we were lucky to host our 16th retreat. Sixty-four infants with disabilities and their parents attended an unforgettable retreat at the Nof Kinneret Hotel in Teveria. The association’s management extends its heartfelt thanks to our generous donors and dedicated team of volunteers for being a part of this resounding success!
oday, March 18, 2025, we launched a special new department which will lend motor development toys for infants with disabilities. The organization proudly notes that this new department is another significant step in expanding our specialized services for young children with disabilities.
Connected wrapped up our 15th successful retreat for infants with disabilities and their parents, which was held this past month (March) at the Nof Kinneret Hotel in Teveria. We want to take this opportunity to thank all our valued partners and donors. Organization Chairman Meir Quinn notes that this retreat marked a significant milestone: We’ve now had over 2,500 participants in our specialized retreats.
Our Medical Equipment Loan Department just expanded with the purchase of 6 portable oxygen concentrators and 6 Air Popper devices that drain ear fluid and relieve pain in children.
Even during this busy time of year, Connected Online volunteers continue distributing cakes in hospitals to patients and family members and delivering them to the homes of families in distress. The Association’s directors thank our activity coordinators and volunteers for their special dedication.
Once again, Connected’s volunteers brought joy to soldiers wounded-in-action and hospitalized at Tel Hashomer Hospital by distributing toys that they can give to their children when they come to visit… Each toy is a gift from the heart of our dear Meir!
Preparations are being finalized for the 15th Connected Retreat which takes place, iy”H, on March 24th at the Nof Kinneret Hotel in Teveria. The Association’s directors want to thank our friends and partners in Chicago for, once again, sponsoring this special event for Israeli infants with disabilities and their parents. Each and every one feels your love and embrace!
In a special operation that required intensive coordination among 4 different volunteers, Connected successfully transferred laboratory blood samples of a pediatric cancer patient hospitalized in Schneider Children’s Medical Center to London and from there to a specialized laboratory in… Qatar!! We are blessed to have such wonderful partners around the world!
Connected’s 14th Retreat this Chanukah was a hit, with dozens of infants with severe disabilities, their parents and siblings enjoying an unforgettable, uplifting Chanukah getaway that added joy and light to their lives. Since the retreat took place during vacation, we invited siblings to join for the first time ever, offering the whole family the best Chanukah gift ever! The infants and families were escorted by a full medical team and devoted volunteers who offered parents and siblings a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and relax together, secure in the knowledge that their baby is in good hands!
In a special international operation, we transferred a life-saving medication to an Israeli patient in Los Angeles. The medicine traveled from Israel to New York and then from New York to Los Angeles where the patient gratefully received it!
